Lesson 4 of 5 in For team leads: roll out AI
Track who's using AI (without being creepy)
You can't improve what you don't measure. But nobody wants to feel surveilled. The right question reveals adoption without violating trust.
Do this
Use the AI to draft a 5-question anonymous pulse check for your team. Send it after the first week.
Try it now
Copy this prompt:
>Write a 5-question anonymous survey for my team about AI usage. Include: 1) How many times did you use AI this week? (0, 1-2, 3-5, 6+), 2) What task was most helpful?, 3) What was frustrating?, 4) What would make you use it more?, 5) Any concerns about our AI policy? Keep it anonymous-friendly. No emails collected.
Check yourself
Are the questions specific enough to get useful data? Is the survey truly anonymous? Would you feel okay answering it?
What just happened
Anonymous surveys get honest answers. The data tells you where to focus: if 60% of the team says 'I don't know what to ask,' your next move is a prompt-sharing session. If they say 'I don't trust it with client data,' that's a policy issue, not a training issue.
